What is Missouri food stamp application?
The Missouri Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program also known as SNAP has been launched to provide nutrition assistance. Managed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, this program is based on the United State Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) “Thrifty Food Plan.” This programme is part of the Missouri Department of Social Services
As per this programme, the participating households are eligible to be allotted food. Through the Missouri Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT), the households are provided SNAP benefits. The SNAP offers monthly assistance to the Missourians who are in need of food and food products. The Missouri EBT card can be used in any grocery store or retail store located within the U.S. that is pre-authorized by the USDA Food & Nutrition Service. These stores must also display the Quest sign.
The forms are out and you need to apply for the P-EBT benefits by July 31 to get the benefits.

- Individual having a bank balance under $2,001 or households having a bank balance under $3,251 with people over 60 years of age in the family or a family member with disability.
How to apply for Missouri food stamp application?
You can fill up the Application for Food Stamp benefits of the Missouri Department of Social Services family Support Division and then drop it at the FSD office either in person or by mail. You can find the FSD county offices here.

- The EBT Card is like a debit card that can be produced at USDA Food & Nutrition Service approved grocery and retail stores.
- The card can be used to purchase food items and grocery supplies.
- It can also be used to purchase seed and plants for the garden meant for growing food for personal consumption.
- SNAP benefits are not extended to alcohol or tobacco products, vitamins, medicines, supplements, hot and fast foods, and any other non-food items like paper products, soap, or pet food.
- Apart from this, you can also get help with employment and job training for free through the SkillUp Programs.
How do I recertify for food stamps in Missouri?
By the end of your SNAP benefit period, you will receive a recertification form via a mail. Once you complete this form and submit it to the Family Support Division, you will be required to attend an interview to continue receiving the SNAP benefits.
How do I apply for Missouri benefits?

How do I check my food stamp application?
You can check the application status from the https://mydss.mo.gov/food-assistance website. You need to click the option “I already have SNAP” and then the “Check My Status” option. You will be redirected to a new page where you have to provide your DOB, SSN or DCN. Then, you must click “Continue” to see the status.
