The Chairman,

J&K State Electricity Board,

Jammu.

Sir,

I regret to bring to your kind notice that we are suffering from frequent instances of a power failure at Trikuta Nagar. There was a total shut-down of power on May 10 from 5-20 p.m. to 4-30 a.m., on May 11 from 6 p.m. to 3-30 a.m. and again on May 12, 13 and 14 from early evening to late midnight.

Absence of power at night has become a source of fright to students as well as householders. Students have preparatory holidays for their examinations. As such, they need light at night for studies. Repeated shut-down of the power supply is making them nervous. Householders are feeling insecure as the incidents of thefts are on the increase. In view of the above facts, I request that power cuts be avoided at night.

Yours truly,

Sukriti
