We all give our full efforts to pass the examination but sometimes we can’t able to pass the exam. It is also a very painful moment when any of our friends fails in the examination. Being a good friend, it is our duty to show sympathy to him and encourage him to reappear in the exam.

Letter of sympathy to a friend who has failed

My dear Ritesh,
I was really shocked to find your Roll Number missing from the list of successful candidates in the newspaper yesterday. I had been waiting very anxiously for your result and I was confident that you would not only get through the examination but also secure high-class marks. In view of your hard work and steady good results in the terminal examinations, your teachers had also high hopes for you. Your failure must have deeply shocked them. Anyway, I would advise you not to be discouraged and disheartened.
You should not lose heart but begin your studies with redoubled vigour. Every cloud has a silver lining. Who knows you might get a position of merit in the next year’s examination?
I believe you would have got very good marks this year also but for your paper in Mathematics. Examinations are a matter of chance and even the best students sometimes fail.
I would request you once more not to be disheartened. This unexpected failure may become a blessing in disguise next year. You should be up and doing and prepare yourself fully for the next examination. I am sure your parents also share my feelings.
Please pay my best respects to them.
